Martini setting is a 3-prong technique where the three prongs splay outward from a low base, creating a silhouette that resembles a martini glass in cross-section. The stone sits lower to the skin than a standard 4-prong setting, with a more open base that allows light entry from below. The result is a sleeker profile and a diamond that appears to float above the band rather than sit on top of it.
