An inside-out hoop sets diamonds on both the outer front face and the inner back face of the hoop — unlike a standard front-set hoop where only the forward-facing surface carries stones. The result is that the earring returns diamond light in all directions: forward when seen from the front, and inward toward the neck when the hoop swings, with no plain metal face visible at any angle. On a hoop earring that moves with the wearer, inside-out construction means the diamond coverage is continuous regardless of how the hoop sits.

The silhouette is elongated oval rather than circular — an ellipse that follows the line of the lobe and extends slightly beyond it, giving the earring more vertical length than a round hoop of equivalent diameter would provide. Princess-cut diamonds are prong-set along both faces of the elongated hoop, with an open gallery along the inner curve allowing light through the setting.
