Milgrain is a finishing technique where a continuous row of tiny beaded metal dots is worked along the edge of a band using a hand tool called a milgrain wheel. The result is a textured border that references the fine metalwork of Edwardian and Art Deco jewellery — a detail associated with handcraft and period jewellery that distinguishes a milgrain band immediately from a plain polished one. It is the defining detail of this ring.

21 round-cut natural diamonds run along the centre of the band, framed on each side by the milgrain border, totalling ¼ carat.
